GOLDFRAPP - Silver Eye: Deluxe Edition mit Duett von DAVE GAHAN - Depeche Mode

GOLDFRAPP veröffentlichen jüngst das Video zu ihrer aktuellen Single „Ocean“ featuring Dave Gahan. Die Single ist der Vorbote der Veröffentlichung der Deluxe-Edition ihres letzten Albums "Silver Eye". Erscheinungstermin ist der 06. Juli via Mute/[PIAS].

Unter der Regie von Alison Goldfrapp entstand ein typisches Goldfrapp-Video, das sie erneut nach Fuerteventura führte, wo sie bereits die Videos zu „Anymore“ und „Everything Is Never Enough“ gedreht hatte – Dave Gahan filmte sie wiederum in Madrid am Rande der aktuellen Depeche Mode-Welttournee. „I had an amazing time directing Dave in the video for the track and we couldn’t be happier with the end result “, sagt sie über den Dreh. Goldfrapp fügt hinzu: “Working with Dave Gahan on the new version of Ocean has been a real honour for us as a band. We’re thrilled to finally share this collaboration with the world”.

Silver Eye: Deluxe Edition erscheint als Doppel-CD mit neuem Artwork und einer Bonus CD mit Remixen und alternativen Versionen der Album-Stücke inklusive eines Will Gregory Remixes von „Anymore“.
Ursprünglich im März 2017 veröffentlicht, erklomm Silver Eye Position 6 der UK-Charts, in Deutschland stieg es auf Position 31 in die Charts ein. Aufgenommen wurde das Album von Alison Goldfrapp und Will Gregory gemeinsam mit John Congleton, dem grammydekorierten Produzenten von St. Vincent, John Grant und Wild Beasts. Zudem arbeiteten sie mit Bobby Krlic alias The Haxan Cloak und Leo Abrahams an den Aufnahmen.

Anlässlich der Veröffentlichung von Silver Eye: Deluxe Edition werden Goldfrapp eine Reihe an Livedaten spielen, unter anderem in London beim British Summer Time Festival mit The Cure. Deutsche Tourdaten stehen derzeit leider nicht auf dem Plan.
